Color Challenge 222

Hi there! I've been majorly missing in action this past week. Some days I felt like I completely lost my Mojo and other days I was just bogged down with housework & such. I'm gonna try to catch up with the key word being "try"! First off, the color challenge this week was to make a one layer white card. I really struggle with these but since every challenge here lately was to make a one layer white card..I think i'm getting past that struggle.

I made this card today to send to a good friend of Kelsey's whom lost her mom yesterday to cancer. We've known for months that this was coming but in no way, shape or form does it ever prepare you for those words that they have passed. Yesterday, when Kelsey told me, it seemed the world stopped for a few minutes and made me think back to several times I was around this lady. She always gave 100% to her girls even in times her life was topsy turvy. I remember the day she told me the doctors only gave her 5 years to live. Turned out it was only alittle over a year. This woman was someone I know Kelsey could just call up and talk to randomly and I know they've spent several times together on mini trips, vacations & school functions. She leaves behind a 16 & 14 year old daughter which breaks my heart. There's alot more I could say but I know the tears will probably start to flow so I will stop this here.

I like the simplicity of your card and the added touch of the pearls on the flowers.

I am sorry to hear about Kelseys friends loss.
